Special Open Studio
Sessions:
First Thursday evening of every month
$30 for 3 1/2 hours 6 to 9:30.

Although the
Warm Glass Studio is a working glass studio and classes often
use the facility, there are times when the studio is available for
those who would like to independently work on their own projects.
Hours must be scheduled in advance, and are contingent on studio
availability.
Please note that pets
and children are not permitted in the open studio. Also note
that supplies are not included in open studio fees. You may
purchase glass in our store or bring your own glass if you prefer.
Studio Time:
Minimum
one hour
$5.00 per hour
Includes use of studio
space, grinders, basic tools such as strip and circle
cutters
$10.00 per hour
Use of coldworking
equipment, including tile saw, sandblaster, wet belt
sander, lathe, air grinder. Some tools (such as
lathe and wet belt sander) may require purchase of your
own wheels or belts.
Kiln Rental:
Small kiln
$5.00 per firing
Olympic (13" x 13"
shelf)
$10.00 per firing
Paragon (20" x 20"
shelf)
$25.00 per firing
Nabertherm (38" x 32")
$50.00 per firing
All firings are assumed to be "typical" 12 hour or less
kiln firings. Longer firings (such as for casting
or fusing thick items) may require an additional cost.
We provide kiln wash or
thinfire paper for shelf and will make firing schedule
suggestions, but no guarantee is made regarding the
firing results.
All of our kilns have
controllers.
